The Hare On The Moon

A Hare lived in a forest.He had two friends-a monkey and an Otter.They spent a lot of time together.

One day a beggar came to the forest.He was an old man and he was very tired and hugry.

The otter was catching fish. The Beggar went to him.

I'm hungry , He said.

Please give me some food.

I have a few fish said the Otter. please take them.

But I don't eat fish said the Beggar . have you anything else?

Sorry said the Otter. I have nothing else.

Let me ask the monkey said the Beggar.

The monkey was eating nuts.The beggar went to him. I'm hungry he said . Please give me some food.

I have a few nuts said monkey . Please take them.

O but I want a lot of them . Said the beggar .I'm very hungry.

I'm sorry, I have only a few ,said the monkey.

"Let me ask the Hare ,said the beggar .

The Hare was eating grass.The Beggar went to him.

I'm hungry ,said the beggar . Please give me some food.
I have a lot of green grass, said the Hare.

But I don't eat grass, said the beggar with a smile. Have you nothing else?

No sorry said the Hare.

I'm very hungry and I'm tired, said the beggar. What shall I do now?

The Hare broght thought for a minute.

Wait ,he said. Please don't go away .

The Hare Brought some wood struck two stones together and made a fire.

You can eat me,he said and jumped into fire.

But the fire did not burn him!He looked out, but the beggar was not there.An Angel.stood in front of him.

I'm pleased with you, said the angel.Let all the worrld see you.

He tok the Hare in his arms flew up and put him on moon.

Look up at the moon. you can still see he hare on it.

ALEXANDER was a great king. He lived in Greece, a long time ago. here is a story about him.

 Alexander's father was the king then.one day a man brought a horse to him. Alexander looked at the horse. it was a fine horse young and tall and strong.

"That's a beautiful horse!" thought Alexander. I want this horse.

The king also liked the horse. who will ride this horse? he asked his soldiers.

"I will ," said a captain. He went near the horse. the horse was angry. it kicked out and the captain fell to the ground. "who will try now?" said the king.

 another soldier tried. He failed, too. then a third soldier tried and failed.

It's a beautiful horse, said the king. but what's the use? it throws its rider off."

Father let me try ," said the young Alexander.

All right said his father.  Ride the horse, and I'll buy it for you."

Alexander went near the horse. The horse moved ,and the horse's shadow moved in front of it . the animal was frightened of its own shadow.

 Alexander smiled and turned the horse to the sun. now its shadow fell behind it.

The prince spoke to the horse and patted it on its neck. The king was afraid."The animal will kill my son,"he thought.

Then Alexander jumped on to the back of the horse . it rose on it front legs but Alexander was not afraid. after some time the horse walked round the palace with the prince on its back.

The king bought the horse and gave it to his son. Alexander loved it very much.

Alexander grew up, and was king of Greece. The horse carried him to many battles in many lands.

 Once upon a time there was a man who had a big garden. He had planted many fruit trees and cared for them till they bear fruits. Now he wanted to pick up the fruits and sell them to make money for his family.  

One fine day while picking fruits with his son, the man saw a stranger sitting on the branch of a tree and picking the fruits. This man become angry and shouted, “Hey you! What are you doing on my tree? Aren’t you ashamed of stealing fruits in the day time?” The stranger on the branch just looked at the gardener but didn’t reply, and continued picking the fruits. The gardener was very angry and shouted again, “For a whole year I have taken care of these trees, you have no right to take the fruits without my permission so come down at once!”  

The stranger on the tree answered, “Why should I come down? This is the garden of God and I am the servant of God, so I have the right to pick these fruits and you should not interfere between the work of God and his servant.” The gardener was very surprised at this answer and thought of a plan. He called his son and said, “go bring a rope and get this man down from the tree.” His son brought the rope and the gardener ordered him to tie the stranger to the tree. The gardener then took a stick and started to beat the stranger. The stranger began to scream. “Why are you beating me? You have no right to do this.”  

The gardener paid no attention and continued beating him. The stranger screamed, “Don’t you fear God, you are beating an innocent man? The gardener answered, “Why should I fear? This wood in my hand belongs to God and I am too the servant of God, so I have nothing to fear, and you shouldn’t interfere with the work of God and his servant.” The stranger hesitated and then spoke, “Wait don’t beat me, I am sorry for taking the fruits. This is your garden and I should seek your permission before taking the fruits. So, please forgive and set me free.”  

The gardener smiled and said, “Since you have now realized your mistake, I will forgive you but remember that God has given all his servants brains so every person’s deeds are in his own hands.” Then the gardener untied him and let him go free.

these beautiful fish first came from china.

A thousand years ago,the
chinese caught these pretty fish and put them in ponds in their
gardens.

fish  live either in seawater or in  freshwater and are called 'salt water fish' or 'freshwater fish'.
The goldfish is a freshwater fish and it eats worms, the eggs of small insects and the plants that grow in theponds.

It can smell its food before it sees it. 

young goldfish are black in colour and only turn gold after a few years. 

They can live for as long as thirty years, a very long time indeed, for although they are small they are very strong.

 

some gold fish have wide tails, and they are called fantails.

other have very thin tails that you can see through, just as you can see through the thin silk of a lady's veil that covers her face, and they are called veil-tails. 

others have very large, round eyes and are called pop-eyes.
